And back to our old ways!

I’m finally in a good enough head after the operation to write something here. And these days ago were quite hard, especially the day of the operation itself. However, the worst memory I have of this experience does not have to do with my nose, but with my back; It is exasperating to spend almost a whole day on your back, lying in bed and unable to move, practically leaving your back destroyed.

The experience of being anesthetized seemed very curious to me; You lie down, they inject you with anesthesia, you close your eyes and immediately open them while you ask what the operation was like and you bleed profusely from your nose. (This last one is also unpleasant.)

The recovery of the human body seems surprising to me. Wednesday and Thursday bad, Friday less, Saturday less until today is Sunday and I’m almost perfectly.

I leave for last the worst event of my postoperative period: a nurse made a mistake on the day I had surgery and instead of giving an anticoagulant injection to the 84-year-old man who was with me in the room, she gave it to me, with the resulting entire night bleeding from the nose. Thank goodness it was just that, because if it was something else not compatible with any of the medications I was taking it could have stayed put. There are people who I don’t know if they know the responsibility that their jobs entail and that they medically influence the lives of others.

My advice: Ask EVERYTHING they give you or inject you with.
