The other day I found out that Apple had released a whole āMr. Computer.ā The Mac Pro, with 8 cores, mounted on 2 Quad-Core Intel Xeon at 3GHz. The specifications could not be more impressive for a desktop computer: up to 16GB of DDR2 RAM at 667MHz, 4 750GB SATA hard drives, NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 graphics card, two 30ā Apple Cinema screens, etc.
The price, however, is far from what the average user can afford, almost $4,000 for the base version with 2 Quad-Core and $18,000 for the most complete version.
Who knows everything that can be done with this computer, but it is obvious that it is more than intended for the professional environment, I would dare say that for video editors due to its two huge screens, although I imagine playing some FPS and I drool.
NOTE: You can also add Windows Vista or XP.
