At the end of September I went with my girlfriend and some friends on a trip to Madrid (With EasyJet for 45 euros round trip, a blast), to spend a few days at a friendās house. It was the first time I went to Madrid, a city from which I did not expect anything out of the ordinary, since I have already been to Barcelona and Valencia on other occasions and except for two or three little things they had not given me more, mostly because I do not like places with many people nor depending on any means of transport to get around (For me, the ideal size of a city is smaller than or equal to Oviedo). The truth is that I was quite impressed by the metro, since it is very well maintained and very comfortable to move around, although I am somewhat reluctant to move all day underground. The heat on some subway lines was exaggerated, while on others it was as cold as three pairs of noses because of the damn air conditioning (Thanks to which I had a sore throat for a week), and sometimes we felt like canned sardines in the cars.
One of the days we went to Warner Park, and the truth is that it is a little disappointing (at least for adults) since it is very small and the attractions are also very small. Before lunchtime we had already ridden practically everything ābigā, and I was dizzy for a long time (The heat and loops are not good companions). I had always wanted to ride a free fall attraction, but I must be getting older, because it seemed quite lighter than I had expected. Without a doubt, the best attraction was a roller coaster, the Stunt Fall, which made you look vertically at the ground (Itās what makes the most impression) and made a journey first forward and then backward.
If there is something to highlight about Warner Park, it is the sets, based on different films and cartoon series, such as Batman or Superman, and also on the Gangsters of the 1930s, a real joy to behold.
Apart from going to Warner, I also went to a Starbucks for the first time, visited the center of Madrid, El Retiro (Very handsome, by the way), etc etc. But I couldnāt finish talking about this trip without mentioning the piece of Audi R8 that was in the window of a dealership. Come on, I didnāt bother or anything with this stroller :-).
In the end the trip was pretty calm, even though they put hot paprika with a spoon into my mouth once I fell asleep on the couch and they tried to paint my toenails black, bastards :P. Of course, next time we have to plan things a little better, even if itās hot, we have to leave the house.
PDTA: I forgot! I also saw the presenter from Braniac who advertises computers on the teleshopping. (Which, by the way, Iām taller than him :P)
