Linking the Norwegian fishing villages of Molde and Kristiansund is Atlantic Road ( Atlanterhavsveien), a road barely 8 kilometers long that overcomes tides and storms, jumping from islet to islet with bridges and impossible curves. Its construction took six years (almost 1 and a half kilometers per year), but since its inauguration in 1989 it has become the second most visited coastal road by tourists, winning the award for best Norwegian construction in 2005.
The road is so spectacular that some television advertisements have been filmed on it, such as the one for the Daewoo Winstorm. What better way to demonstrate the power of an all-terrain than by challenging nature through the steep curves of Atlantic Road?
