Two of the villains who will appear in the closing of Christopher Nolanās Batman trilogy: The Dark Knight Rises are now official. Not without some surprise, I find out that Anne Hathaway (Surprise Princess, Love and Other Drugs) is going to take on the role of Catwoman, while Tom Hardy (Inception) is going to play Bane.
In the first case, it seems like a correct decision to me because Anne, (even though I see her every time I canāt help but think of Surprise Princess) has a touch of innocence and morbidity that would be better suited to Catwoman, and it wouldnāt be very difficult to surpass the previous versions of the villainess played by Michelle Pfeifer and Halle Berry. You may be shaking your head when you name the first one, but letās be honest: Burtonās films were not good even though we remember them fondly, and Pfeiferās performance, well⦠beyond Nicholson or Devito, letās say that actors and actresses were not worth much.

In the second case, there are no more guesswork. Catwoman was and always will be a bad movie that I would place on par with the terrible and characterless āElektraā. A movie to advertise Halle Berry and thatās it.
Bane is a villain considered secondary and whom I did not know until the arrival of Batman: Arkham Asylum, where you have to fight him several times before and after taking the Jokerās āmiracle potionā, which turns him into a gigantic mass of muscles. Does Tom Hardy suit the role? I have no idea, so Iām going to let Guybrush Snake give his opinion in the comments, who will know more about the subject than me.
