Crash Bandicoot under the Cry Engine graphics engine

The well-known graphics engine for video games CryENGINE can do wonders. The German company Crytek created it in 2003, and since then it has been one of the most admired. Acquired by Ubisoft in 2006, it has given birth to the acclaimed Far Cry and Crysis** sagas, among other video games, with very realistic graphics and a spectacular balance of lights and shadows.

What would games from the past look like with this engine? Well, thanks to the video below, we can see the first screen of the platform game Crash Bandicoot as if it had been designed with it:

In reality, it is a mod of Crysis made by a fan of both games, and you can see the result above. It still has many things to polish, and I doubt that it will ever be finished and the creator will open the download, but it is certainly curious to see one of the games that entertained a server for so many hours, rendered with a modern graphics engine.
