A few months ago I wrote an article explaining how to [return SMB access to Mac OS With the arrival of Mountain Lion, I hoped that Apple would have solved this problem, but that is not the case and we have to continue doing tricks to gain access to our NAS and Media Centers.
The solution that I propose today is very simple and you do not have to use the terminal at all, so no great knowledge is required. Itās called SMBUp and it automatically installs Samba packages, instantiating them as a service and providing a graphical interface to manage shared folders, their permissions and the users who can access them.
Iāve been using it for about a month on two different computers and it hasnāt given me a single problem, so I recommend its use and if you like it you can make a donation from the authorās page.
