Yesterday I went to the cinema to see āThe Pursuit of Happinessā (Yes, to the cinema) and I thought it was one of those films that leave a very good taste in your mouth as soon as you leave the cinema, despite having paid ā¬5.10.
The film tells the story of a father (Will Smith) to whom all kinds of misfortunes happen as he tries to get ahead, taking advantage of his talent with numbers and despite having very bad luck. Despite having a predictable ending from the beginning, it manages to attract attention and maintain tension perfectly, since it seems that the protagonist has the world more and more against him and you donāt know what could happen to him next.
Will Smith acts as a great actor and does not do any of the typical nonsense in most of his films, completely getting into the role of the ruined father and demonstrating all the quality he has inside.
Finally, I would like to recommend it to everyone, since, for me, it is the best film of the year so far and I am not surprised that Will Smith was nominated for an Oscar for best actor.
