Me acabo de llevar una grata sorpresa al probar un nuevo emulador de Dreamcast para PC. Se llama NullDC y estĆ” en su versiĆ³n 1.0.0 Beta 1. Fue hecho pĆŗblico el 1 de Abril en un foro, y el autor dejĆ³ claro que no se trataba de una broma del April foolās day.
I havenāt been able to test the emulator much because I donāt have enough computer here to make it work, but it seems to maintain a good fps rate if you have the minimum recommended requirements to use it, and at least what I tried already works better than Chankast:
- CPU: AMD Athlon XP/64/Turion at 2GHz or Intel Pentium 4 at 2.6GHz or equivalent.
- Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 4 TI or ATi Radeon 8500.
- RAM: 512MB
- Operating System: Windows 2000/XP/2003
- December Redistributable of DirectX 9c
It allows you to load game images from the hard drive and directly from the CD/DVD reader, although it still does not allow you to load original games because their first track is audio and it does not find the 1st_read.bin to boot.
To use it we must have the Dreamcast bios files in the Data folder and rename them as indicated in the txt of that same folder.
