Yesterday, thanks to Miguel Herrero I found out that the second part of the magnificent Ouendan had been released, one of the best Nintendo DS games, which unfortunately did not leave Japanese lands.
I didnāt have time to play this game too much, but even so, I could see some changes in the game:
- The mission selection screen is in 3D and quite neat.
- The textures of the animators during a song are more marked and the characters look more ācomic-likeā.
- The drawings of the characters in the stories are sharper and contain more animations.
- Like in Elite Beat Agents, you can skip the beginning of the song (They must have received millions of letters complaining about that aspect).
- There are two groups of animators and battles occur between them.
Despite all these changes, I think there is something that gets worse compared to the original Ouendan: the charisma of the songs. As with Elite Beat Agents, so far I havenāt found any song that catches my attention so much (Except the last two from Elite Beat that I liked). But we must also recognize that the potterās song (Kokoru Odoru) and the finale (Ready Steady Go) were very difficult to beat. Despite this, the game maintains the touches and essence of Ouendan, so it is always an option to take into account and recommended.
