A few days ago I heard for the first time about the new film that J.J. is preparing. Abrahams, producer of the Lost series.
The only information there is about this film, which will supposedly be released on January 18, 2008, is a brief trailer in the purest style of Lost. It is recorded simulating a normal video camera, and in it you can see how people run out of a party after hearing enormous noises on the island of Manhattan, when they see, astonished, that enormous explosions are taking place. The climax comes when the head of the Statue of Liberty falls from the sky as if it were a missile.
El hermetismo informativo es enorme, pero como siempre ocurre cuando se quiere mantener algo en secreto, siempre se filtra alguna información, y en este caso ha sido un póster de la película puesto en una tienda de EE.UU., con la estatua de la libertad sin cabeza y con el título de “Monstrous”, que sólo duró mostrado al público 1 día, y al día siguiente había un póster de la Comic Con (Una concentración de comics) en su lugar. Por esta razón es bastante posible que se den más datos del proyecto en el mencionado evento a finales de esta semana, ya que es probable que no fuera más que una estrategia de marketing.
The fact is that since the film is as impressive as the trailer, I think it will be quite interesting. Will it be a Cthulhu movie as they say? I would say…no.
