I just got home after watching The Simpsons movie and the truth is that the feeling I have is one of indifference tending towards disappointment. I wasnāt expecting a good movie or a brilliant script like in the best moments of the series, but rather one of the absurd episodes of the last few seasons, only longer. The result was a movie with 4 absurdly funny moments (Can you tell me why I was the only person in the movie to laugh when the old lady with the cats appeared washing them on a laundry board? Itās the best thing in the entire movie!), but with a simple script, for small children, that seems to slap all the people who, like me, grew up watching that series.
I think the writers of the movie put more effort into finding a way to cram almost all of the characters in the series together than into making a decent script. Furthermore, the beginning of the film could have been much more than it is, if it werenāt for the fact that we are introduced to some decaffeinated Scratch and Itch.
I donāt want to finish writing this entry without shouting to heaven for the cinema ticket: ā¬5.10! even having the student cardā¦ a robbery. I donāt want to think about the people who had to pay the ā¬6.40 that a normal ticket cost. Call me a thief if you want, but Planet Terror seems to me to be right at homeā¦
