I still remember my first time. It was a hot summer. I had already taken the selectivity and had a whole summer ahead of me to do nothing, since university would start in September. I donāt know why, but it stood in front of me and I couldnāt say no, possibly because that blue color of its background captivated me, so day after day I opened it and played with it. When I came back from the beach, when I got up, before I went to bed⦠thatās how I started playing Ogame.
Ogame is a free space strategy game in which we control a series of planetary colonies. We control the resources, the colony ships, the defenses, we can make alliances with other players, etc., and all this through a web application accessible from any browser.

The game was created entirely in PHP by the German company GameForge in 2001, when the first universe appeared in that country (Now they have 72), and, little by little, it expanded to a multitude of countries throughout the world, including Spain. It is a full-fledged MMORPG, since in each universe (or server) in which the game takes place, there are more than 3,100 players interacting with each other simultaneously.
The main characteristic of the game is that it does not stop at any time, and even if we are not connected to it, time will continue to pass normally, and we can continue to gain resources or be victims of attacks while we sleep. A 24/7 role-playing game. This, which at first does not seem like a big deal, can become a problem in the long run, since when our fleet grows, it will become a succulent loot for our enemies, so we will have to put it into flight or do fleetsaving.

In the game you can exchange minerals (metal, crystal, deuterium and the new dark matter), and it will be very important if one day we need to build a ship or building and we do not have enough resources.
In short, Ogame is a simple game, it does not have cutting-edge graphics, nor is it a next-gen, but if it is one of the most successful online games it will be for a reason, and that is because it is a very good game. I stopped playing it a long time ago because it absorbs you too much, but I invite everyone who has time (and who spends 24 hours a day in front of the computer) to be encouraged to play, because it is an experience that, moderately, is worth it⦠or was worth it, I donāt know if things will remain the same as before, since from what I have seen, there are more paid elements (optional, yes) to improve the playerās options for victory.
