Sólo he visto un poco de la entrevista, pero está enterita en Youtube para el disfute de toda la ‘pipol’ (aunque no se puede embeber en otros lugares), aunque lo que he visto me ha parecido un tanto ridículo: ¡Si viene un actor de Lost, preguntale por su serie, no por lo que escribe en su blog!
But well, it’s not about the four-part show that I wanted to talk about, but about a phrase that Pablo Motos said that will surely give a lot of talk these days on the internet (although I seem to remember that Maca had already told me about it the other day) and that is that the broadcast of the sixth season of Lost will be simultaneous in all the countries in which the series is broadcast.
It is clear that Lost is an internet phenomenon, and all fans of the series who are not in the United States see it through this medium the next day or in the days close to its premiere in that country. We don’t like to wait months (or even years) for television stations to buy their rights, duplicate the episodes and then broadcast them at odd hours. Fans want speed, and if televisions don’t move fast, it will be our Rapidshare accounts that will.
Recently Digital + took the initiative (it is also from Sogecable) in this regard and broadcast the subtitled Fringe pilot shortly after it premiered in the United States, which I think is the solution to the problem if they want to put an end to series downloads, and I am convinced that if they broadcast them at competitive prices (or for free, start dreaming) they would do good business.
I have a series of doubts about this supposed “worldwide broadcast” of Lost. The first is if the chapters will be dubbed or translated, the second is if we will have to wait longer for it, and the third is if they really hope to be successful with this late move when practically all of us fans are used to watching the series in V.O., and the Spanish dubbing makes us want to vomit. And I don’t know what others will think, but unless the broadcast is done on V.O. subtitled (which on the other hand would be a good guinea pig for this type of content on television) I prefer to wait a day and watch each of the episodes through the ‘traditional media’.
