If there is something that characterizes OK Go apart from its music, it is its cute video clips. This time to present their new album they have gone all out to create a âbutterfly effectâ by taking off their hat. It is very noticeable that they have had success with their previous work, because the spectacular nature of the video clip has increased considerably, but the song seems much less catchy to me than âHere It goes againâ.
A while ago they released this single, albeit with another video clip which, although not bad at all, was not as impressive as it could have been after the hangover of the previous one. If it werenât for the fight of the groupâs members against their record label and YouTubeâs policies, I probably wouldnât be writing this article right now, because they werenât allowed to embed their video clips on web pages and blogs (you have more information here).
I will never understand why doing free advertising for a group or song is frowned upon by record companies, when it would give me tremendous satisfaction if they talked about my projects. Free advertising, they could already do it to some of us :)
