Hace ya unos cuantos días que ha terminado el E3, y si tuviera que definirlo con una palabra, sería sin duda descafeinado, al menos en cuanto a las presentaciones realizadas por Microsoft y Sony. Efectivamente, si tuviera que dar una ganadora del E3 sería Nintendo.
Once again, as already happened with the Wii, it seems that Nintendo is one step ahead in terms of innovation, and although Kinect (what a horrible name for Spanish speakers to choose) offers unprecedented technology that promises to be the basis of future entertainment systems, we must not forget that it is focused on the same target of users that the Wii is aimed at… and they already have the Wii. It must also be taken into account that playing Kinect requires a lot of space judging by the demonstrations carried out, and that in most cases you have to play standing up.
Of course, regarding the catalog of games designed for Kinect, we have seen a “copy & paste” of Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort that is too evident. And all this without forgetting the appearance of UbiSoft presenting one of those very interesting games “made for Wii”.
Games for casual users and for more casual users, and little else. It doesn’t matter to me that they introduced Forza, because I still think that realism in a car game is obtained by playing it with a steering wheel, not with a PowerGlobe.
Ha resultado bastante interesante y triste ver el servicio de ESPN en Xbox Live y también la video conferencia. Interesante sobre todo el primero, que de llegar a España podría dar un pelotazo pero que dudosamente lo hará (no creo que Marca o Digital + se interesen). En cuanto al segundo, será materialmente imposible de que funcione con las líneas de aquí a una calidad decente.
And to finish talking about Kinect, I would like to mention that the Ferrari demonstration seemed extremely ridiculous to me when nowadays you can do that on any page in flash. And well, the thing about the Asian girl with the tiger brought back quite a few memories of the Beijing Olympic Games and the satanic girl.
Nintendo was the winner simply because it announced the best product of the entire E3: The Nintendo 3DS. Without seeing it with my own eyes, I read nothing but praise about it. Firstly, for being able to transmit images in 3 Dimensions without the need for glasses, and secondly for leaving the 3D technology presented by Sony in its infancy, for which glasses are required.
And in short, this has been E3 for me (I haven’t talked about the Sony dildo because it seems ridiculous to me and because it doesn’t seem to me that it has announced anything worth mentioning). Very weak in terms of games and content. If Microsoft finally decides to put a price higher than 100 euros on Kinect, it seems to me that it will fail miserably.
