Si hay una serie que siempre va emparejada con la llegada del verano esta es Californication, una serie de la que casi no ha hablado en el blog pero que está entre mis favoritas desde que se estrenó hace 3 años en España. Actualmente va por su tercera temporada, que se estrenó a mediados de Junio en Fox, canal en el que emiten un doble capítulo todos los lunes a las 22:20.
Californication is a series of acid humor that revolves around sex, its main character is Hank Moody (David Duchovny), a writer in low hours who brushes off all the nasties that come his way while trying to maintain stability between his beloved and his daughter. And yes, my wanker readers, it is a Showtime series and as such it shows a lot of female flesh in each episode, which is one more good reason to recommend it to you.
But since the viewer does not only live on “female flesh” and I know that the blog has some female readers, I can say that all the nudes, although they are another incentive, are not the main one. It is a very funny series and rare is the episode in which a loud laugh is not released due to the sharp dialogues or the often surreal events. Furthermore, Californication is a series that is engaging and that you can easily watch in one sitting, because its seasons only have 13 episodes of less than half an hour.
But if there is something that Californication produces, it is good vibes. Each character has enormous charisma (if you get to the third season you are going to be amazed by Kathleen Turner) and it is impossible not to show a certain empathy and affection towards them. It is your decision to see it, but I think that if you see it you will not be disappointed.
