Hace ya tiempo que terminĂł el Foro Internet Meeting Point 2010, pero todavĂa no he tenido tiempo a escribir mis impresiones sobre Ă©l entre los malditos exĂĄmenes de julio, cursos de verano y que me hayan dejado una PS3. Pero aprovechando de unos minutos que tengo libres allĂĄ voy.
This year I enjoyed the event A LOT, much more than last year. I have never been to the EBE, but many people who have gone on several occasions agreed that it is a much more massive event than the FIMP, and that the latter is more familiar, more similar to a meeting of friends. And I agree, because if I had to describe the FIMP in one word it would be âgood vibes.â
It seemed to me that the talks have gone from less to more, although we must also keep in mind that there are certain topics that, although they are not for me, there are people who are interested in them and I find them completely impossible to criticize from my absolute ignorance.
What I do have a clear opinion about is the topics of the talks and what is said in them. Personally I am a little tired of the typical talks in which the same thing is said. The thing about community managers and penis lammers doesnât suit me, but there are quite a few people who create a Twitter account and automatically believe they are the best, too many, I would say. But there are people who seem to go specifically to these types of events to network, the 2.0 word that defines sucking each otherâs cocks. Self-proclaimed gurus who always have something to say even if it is nothing more than noise.
You take these types of people out of the typical pre-established conversations in which the same thing is always said and they get nervous. If not, I donât understand why there was criticism of some of the talks that stood out precisely because the usual things were not told.
But Iâm going to change the subject because I donât want these impressions of the FIMP to become a criticism of a type of people that I donât want to talk about. As you know, a while ago I participated in a positioning contest organized by myspyspot and whose prize was an iPad and I won it. And to think that I was on the verge of giving up because the bases didnât seem clear enough to me⊠thank goodness I finally decided to keep going. Winning this contest has helped me know to what extent this blog is a positioning and content generation machine.
It was tremendous to see the match between Spain and Paraguay surrounded by renowned bloggers and people who were completely âamazingâ or singing âRiquelme, take out your cell phone with those from ESET.â Itâs a pleasure to have seen ElĂas, Manuel Almeida, AberrĂłn, Jasp, Wicho, Idoia, Antonio Ortiz, etc. Also a pleasure to have met Gina, Yoriento, Irreductible, Milhaud, Rosi Morera and more people who surely left me in the dark. And, of course, to all the lifelong Asturian bloggers :). And to carballo, who finally deigned to walk through Asturian lands!
It has been the best FIMP of all, in terms of organization, good vibes and content. Congratulations to Ana and to Voolive for the organization and to all the others who contributed and whose names I donât know :)
