In the end I did what I didnāt want to do, change the direction of my blog. After a long time on Blogger and not liking any of the templates, I decided to try my luck with Wordpress, to see how things turn out. I had a lot of trouble finding a fast php server, but I think tripod is quite efficient in that regard, although it is true that it does not have php 5.0 technology and that is why I had to copy and paste the entries from my old blogā¦
After managing to deactivate the Wordpress cache, for which I had to forget about the Spanish version of it and use the latest one in English, I can say that the administrator interface is very very comfortable and is quite easy and fast to use, including editing .php and .css files.
Another thing I agonized over was how to remove the damn abusive Lycos advertising, and after several attempts I managed to do it.
And thatās all for now, I donāt know how long the current design will last (which I like at the moment), nor if I will change direction again, but that will be a thing of the future.
