Carlos Abril Benavides, director general de Crocodile Games y Alberto García-Baquero Vega impartieron las dos siguientes charlas.
The first was talking about his professional career, saying that he made his first game: Phantis quite some time ago, using designs that he had already made from before and that he copied from books. He participated in the creation of all the old Dinamic Multimedia Football PCs and also in FX Interactive.
Now it aims to create several small development teams and have each one make a game in parallel with the others, and the development time for these games should be less than a year. He also says that the game’s testing period should take place as soon as possible, since we must take care that the game does not become boring.
After this talk, Aberto García-Baquero was talking to us about the “digital slot machines” sector, saying that it is a sector that moves astronomical amounts and is highly regulated.
One fact that I found very curious is that to make a “slot” game, to avoid fraud, you have to verify that the program code is correct and that it is not a scam before releasing the game, and then the company is not allowed to touch a single line of code.
