Los últimos años la Fórmula 1 ha ido perdiendo poco a poco todo el encanto y la atracción de los años anteriores. Yo, que la comencé a ver cuando Alonso fichó por Renault (como la mayoría de la gente) y fui perdiendo el interés poco a poco, hasta que las últimas carreras dejaron de interesarme. Atrás quedaban ya los días en los que me levantaba estoicamente a las 7 de la mañana para ver un Gran Premio o los que salía de juerga hasta altas horas de la madrugada y los bares sintonizaban la Fórmula 1 para que la gente la viera.
Luckily, this year there will be quite a few incentives to watch Formula 1 from the start. Firstly, it will be the year with the most Spanish drivers: 3; Fernando Alonso, Pedro Martinez De La Rosa and Jaime Alguersuari. Secondly, because there is going to be a Spanish team in which Ayrton Senna’s nephew will compete (who will not do anything all year, of course). Thirdly, Schumacher is back and we will be able to see him compete again with Alonso and for the first time with Hamilton. And finally, that Alonso will race with Ferrari.
The truth is that I’m really looking forward to it starting (But I’m even more looking forward to Monday passing and Tuesday arriving). It makes me want to do some kind of league or something like that to liven things up a bit around these parts, but I don’t know if anyone would participate. Yeah? No?
