Update: For those of you looking for a program with these characteristics, try Noteshelf. I didnât know him when I wrote this article.
The main problem that all the applications that I had tried so far had was that the strokes when writing were only precise when writing very large letters, because the iPad is designed to write with your fingers, so the only alternative they left us was to âzoom inâ and âzoom outâ so that the strokes were correct and that each letter did not take up an entire sheet of paper. Another problem that many applications also have is that they lack integration with third-party services such as Dropbox or Google Docs, and why should we kid ourselves: using iTunes to transfer data to the iPad/iPhone is one of the biggest botches that Apple has made and it is a pain to do so.
Then I discovered the Notes Plus application by chance and I can safely say that it is the best application for writing on the iPad currently existing because it largely makes up for almost all the shortcomings that I have mentioned above in a satisfactory way.
To begin with, it has interaction with Google Docs to upload documents (although it does not synchronize them), allows you to record audio and zoom to write more precisely. The following video shows some of its features:
Sounds are assigned to pages and saved in Appleâs sound format, but can later be converted to mp3. Writing with a pencil is very comfortable, but Iâm not convinced about resting my hand on the iPad no matter how hard they say the screen is; However, there may be people who do. It doesnât have Dropbox sync yet, but it will. One detail that I liked is that the developer has on his page a log with the new features that he is going to add to the program, some very interesting ones.
In short, Notes Plus is the most comfortable application for writing. Better than Penultimate and many others and the perfect complement to Good Reader or Documents to Go or Pages
