Tener amigos es una putada. Hay gente a la que la meten en las drogas, en el alcohol o que los convencen para irse de putas. A mi no me ha sucedido nada de eso, pero a cambio, muchos de mis amigos se han comprado el Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 para la Xbox 360, y claro, a ti no te queda otra que comprarlo. Aunque desde el momento en el que dices “Vale, me lo compraré” sabes que va a ser una experiencia traumática porque eres un paquete a los FPS “realistas” después de haber dedicado años al bando contrario, a los Unreal Tournament, Halo y compañía. Sabes que te van a llover hondonadas de hostias de todos los lados y que vas ser el pringado que siempre va a quedar último en las partidas con una relación de muertes de 1/20.

The character AI is quite bad, the campaign is easy even on the highest difficulty level or the campaign mode is short. In addition, the online mode has quite notable shortcomings, such as the disappearance in strange circumstances of group members when you join a game, not having a replay mode, or being a group leader not being able to take the rest of the group members with you to the meeting point. Problems that can become exasperating when you see that you spend more time trying to get the rest of your group together than playing.
Pero para mi, a pesar de tener esos fallos, el juego me ha parecido por encima de la media en cuanto a intensidad y variedad, y muy rejugable; tanto, que ya me lo he pasado dos veces y voy camino de la tercera. No jugué más que un par de misiones a Call of Duty 4, pero no es realmente necesario haberlo jugado para entender el argumento de Modern Warfare 2 puesto que es bastante independiente a pesar de transcurrir 5 años después del primero. El Argumento, junto con la ambientación y la magnífica música de Hanns Zimmer te envuelve por completo.

In short, Modern Warfare 2 seemed like a great game that you can get a lot out of and that can give you many hours of entertainment. Do I recommend it to you? Well, if you don’t like FPS or you already have a few, then no, but if you are thinking of buying a game now that Christmas is approaching and you are going to play online, this could be a good and long-lasting purchase.
