Statistics November 2009 and other things

It had been a few months since I hadn’t commented on the blog statistics out of mere laziness, but November’s statistics have been much better than I expected and a couple of things have happened that deserve to be reviewed. Let’s go in parts and first of all is to do a brief analysis of the statistics for the month.

November has been by far the blog’s best month in terms of visits, reaching, according to Statcounter, the incredible figure of 557,000 impressions and 391,000 unique visitors. Yes, the magic figure of half a million impressions has finally been surpassed, 34% more than last month. Curiosity has led me to create a small graph with the statistics for November since the birth of the blog, reflecting a significant increase in visits year after year.

As for the “strange” events that have occurred this month, a blog article (written by Carballo) has been referenced on Meristation.tv (it is always good when a lady says “Bocabit” with the blog logo behind). Furthermore, it was the first time that the blog has gone down due to the flow of visits, reaching 60,000 in just 3 hours with the Barça-Madrid effect. The hosting people thought that the page was suffering a DDoS attack, so I had to explain to them that this game here is the “Superbowl” of the USA. Luckily, shortly after the blog was back up.

I don’t know if bocabit.com will be the blog with the most visits in Asturias, what I do know is that things are going well, and let’s hope that in the coming months things continue to go the same, helped by the launch of Bleef!. Thanks to everyone who reads us!
